This video compilation with added English-language subtitles provides a video reconstruction of the Maidan massacre of the protesters and the police in Ukraine. It contains synchronized fragments of numerous video and audio recordings of the Maidan massacre, in particular, videos of snipers in Maidan-controlled locations and their shooting the police and the Maidan protesters, and more than 80 testimonies about such snipers in the videos during the massacre itself. This video compilation visually shows that at least the absolute majority of Maidan protesters and the police were shot from Maidan-controlled buildings. This is an online Video Appendix A of a paper prepared for presentation at the virtual 10th World Congress of the International Council for Central and East European Studies in Montreal in 2021.

Also, while obviously this was a disgusting act of terrorism encouraged (if not financed) by the US ... I personally believe that even if I were present. So long as I weren't one of the earliest people shot? I would NEVER BE SHOT HERE. Because I'm not stupid enough to think that after others are shot I need to use the same shitty steel shield that didn't work to advance and "hold territory" that's absolutely utterly MEANINGLESS. What these people were thinking is just impossible to relate to. They're unarmed, have no protection, stand NOTHING to gain, yet advanced on people armed, shooting at them, who aren't even identified. What is the point?

This video is SO frustrating. People who are shot are never circled, so each viewer needs to do their own analysis of dozens of people throughout every millisecond to try to find the locations in which they're injured to see how they fell or reacted ... but the video doesn't circle the claimed areas of the Musiic Hotel or Hotel Ukraine so we still wouldn't know their relative location without being from there, or (as stated! having them MARKED IN THE VIDEO), just as victims and shooters should have been. That Katchanovski (not a great communicator) fails to exploit the medium (video) which provided all the time & opportunity to organize a clear & persuasive chronology as any good storyteller would. Katchanovski desperately needed a partner gifted in communication and video editing to help organize these incidents into a narrative that unambiguously provides unmistakable graphic proof marking people & places of interest which are referenced instead of general text to read which one can do only at the expense of watching the video. This cannot be everyone's talent; but not seeking a partner gifted in this is very unfortunate. However ineffective the video is, his interviews are even more difficult to follow. He's substituted speaking english quickly for speaking it clearly. NO native speaker speaks that fast, and because of his very thick accent, it takes all of my attention just to try to understand the words he's saying, let alone to figure out what his point is. He also struggles to annunciate. As difficult as those variables are for a listener to follow, the coup de gras is that he just hasn't decided on the most impressive facts for people to learn. As a result, he speaks as though he's searching for statements that'll constitute persuasive facts and evidence. Making it a real challenge to hold people's attention as some of his statements aren't particularly important, and if they are, perhaps it's because what made them important was inaudible or unclear. I say this as someone who completely agrees with Katchanovski's thesis and who wants his presentation to be good enough to persuade the most committed opponent of our viewpoint. It's clear that protesters never behaved as if they thought police // gov. were sniping at them. If they believed otherwise, they certainly didn't behave as if they were angry with the police they falsely believed to be shooting at them.

I have followed the Ukraine conflict for the last 9 years. One thing I never found out is the role of the military and the chief-of-staff in the coup. During the Maidan, only the Berkut seems to have defended the president, while during the anti-Maidan the military was immediately called in to suppress protests in Mariupol and the Donbas. The conclusion from that seems to be that the military supported the coup or was at least biased in favor of the Maidan and against the anti-Maidan protests. Is there any evidence to clarify the position of the military in the coup?

I'm surprised Google/Youtube has not yet censored this video. Starting in 2015, Google/Youtube has removed ALL of the videos which revealed Kiev/NATO atrocities in ethnic-Russian territory.

In a documentation ZDF reporter had to leave their cutter-room for sniper and filmed them next window. The day after the ZDF reporter stated in front of the hotel ukraina, they will flee from Maidan because of being afraid to be killed for witness.
